Mr. Schiek personally helped me customize my Carbon 3004. I wanted a belt like the one Ms. Olympia, Cyd Gillon had made for her because it is narrow enough at the waist to accommodate my short torso. Other belts cut into my waist. He also sent me a waist trainer. I like to slough off the superficial adipose water while supporting my lower back with a belt during training to decrease my waistline and prevent thickening of the waist by NOT recruiting my abs during training. I train my abs separately after my workout without belts, waist trainers, and no weights to keep abs strong without thickening my waist. Thank to John and his team for making a product that gives me the confidence to lift heavier while protecting.
The gloves are as good as advertised. They are easy on/off and have sufficient padding for moderately heavy lifting/weight training. They seem like a bargain!

These are the best weightlifting gloves I’ve ever owned, and I’ve been lifting regularly since I read Pumping Iron nearly 50 years ago. After years of getting 6-12 months of use from gloves made by the big brands, I decided to splurge on a pair of Schiek 540’s about 10 years ago. They’re still going strong, but I decided to replace them (Nov 2023), not because they were torn or otherwise worn out, but because the smell of leather and sweat became a bit much. The quality (thick leather, double-stitching and Velcro), fit and design (the finger “fins” are great after a hard workout when the last thing you want to do is struggle pealing gloves off) make for a first-class item.
